About Us

A young chapter with a long memory.

Bosses Network Young Chapter was founded in 2015 to carry a nearly three-decade habit of business people learning from business people into the next generation — second-generation owners and young entrepreneurs building the companies Singapore will run on next.

Who we are

Bosses Network: Young Chapter

Bosses Network Young Chapter (BNYC), founded in 2015, continues the legacy of The Bosses Network — a community that has been uniting business leaders in lifelong learning and growth since 1997.

BNYC upholds that mission by giving second-generation business owners and young entrepreneurs, 45 and below, the room and the relationships to connect, learn, share and grow together.

The chapter organises learning and networking events through the year: company visits, overseas learning trips, founder-led sessions and celebrations that keep the community close.

The Bosses Network

Established in 1997, The Bosses Network is a community of business leaders of all ages who share one goal: to broaden and deepen their business knowledge.

The network runs on sharing insights, exploring new ideas, learning continuously and growing together — which is what makes it a natural home for entrepreneurs and owners looking to widen their horizons and deepen their industry connections. BNYC is its young chapter.

Our heritage

Three decades, two generations

1997
The Bosses Network begins

A group of Singapore business owners start meeting to share what they know. Sharing insights, exploring ideas, learning and growing becomes the habit that defines the network.

2015
The Young Chapter forms

BNYC is founded so the next generation — second-gen owners and young founders taking on family businesses or starting their own — has a room of its own within that same tradition.

Today
A chapter in full stride

Company visits, masterclasses, overseas learning trips, ministerial dialogues and celebrations — planned and hosted by a committee of members, year after year.

How it began

Founder & co-founders

Four members of The Bosses Network set out in 2015 to give the next generation a room of its own inside the network. The chapter has run on that idea ever since.

What we stand for

Four things every member walks away with

Our founding mission is simple: give second-gen owners and young founders the room, the relationships and the wisdom to grow — together.

Connect

A trusted room of peers who understand the weight of carrying — or building — a business. Relationships that outlast any single deal.

Learn

Company visits, masterclasses and candid boardrooms with operators who've already solved the problem on your desk today.

Share

Give as much as you get. Members open their factories, playbooks and networks so the whole chapter rises faster.

Grow

Overseas learning trips, celebrations and long-game friendships that compound into real opportunities year after year.

What we do

How the year actually runs

Learning events are free for members. Only celebrations are ticketed — because someone has to pay for the dinner.

Company visits

We go to the factory, the warehouse, the studio. Owners walk us through the operation and answer the questions you can't ask over a coffee.

  • Hosted by member businesses
  • Small groups, real access
  • Free for members

Overseas learning trips

Multi-day trips built around company visits abroad — seeing how the same problems get solved in another market, with the people you'll be calling for years.

  • Regional and further afield
  • Business-first itineraries
  • Where the friendships get made

Sessions & dialogues

Founder-led talks, masterclasses and dialogues — including with ministers and industry leaders — on succession, growth, hiring and the things nobody warns you about.

  • Practitioners, not lecturers
  • Candid, off-the-record rooms
  • Free for members

Celebrations

Chinese New Year, Christmas, anniversary dinners and the moments in between. These are ticketed events — everything else the chapter runs is not.

  • Members, families and guests
  • Anniversary and festive dinners
  • The part everyone photographs
Who joins

Owners, not attendees

BNYC is for second-generation business owners and young entrepreneurs aged 45 and below — people who carry real responsibility for a business, whether they inherited it or started it.

What holds the room together isn't an industry or a revenue bracket. It's that everyone in it is answerable for something: payroll, a family name, a decision that can't be delegated. That shared weight is what makes the conversations honest.

Members are expected to give as well as take — opening their operations, sharing their playbooks, and showing up for each other's events. The chapter works because enough people do.

The 2026 Committee

The people running the chapter this year

BNYC is run entirely by members who volunteer their time — chairing, planning and hosting so the chapter keeps moving. This is the committee for 2026.
